Humza Ahmad

Datto Europe

Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer at Datto, Humza spends his day helping Managed Service Providers solve problems and gain greater efficiency through the use of state-of-the-art tools. He's worked in a number of roles at Datto, from Technical Support to Account Management, and has a rich career working for multinational firms including SAP and Accenture.

In his spare time, Humza is a health and fitness fanatic, and is always looking for The Next Big Thing, whether it be a new gadget, or an emerging business opportunity!

Mo Aneese



Mo Aneese works in the TMT team at mid-market private equity firm Livingbridge, investing in businesses across cloud, connectivity, software and comms. Mo has been involved in a number of investments since joining Livingbridge's Manchester office in 2011 including connectivity and internet infrastructure provider M247; IT infrastructure provider Onyx; email signature software provider Exclaimer; cloud services marketplace Giacom; and software testing services provider Ten10. Prior to joining Livingbridge he worked in the National Australia Bank's corporate and structured finance team where he worked with a range of SME and mid-market corporate companies.

Andy Barrow

Andy is responsible for providing the overall vision and strategic direction of ANS.

Andy has been in the industry for 15 years and has worked in numerous senior technical management positions, navigating the business into key, high growth markets involving service design and transition.

Andy is a regular industry speaker, is included on many advisory councils and has strong relationships in the customer and services provider community.

Nicki Boyd

Nicki has over ten years' experience of investing in the UK lower mid-market, including seven years at Inflexion Private Equity. In 2013, she took a sabbatical to complete the Sloan Fellowship Program at Stanford, followed by three years establishing and developing an Education Technology company in California, gaining experience on the entrepreneur's side of the table! She joined Mark Salter in founding Apiary Capital at the end of 2017 and returned to the UK earlier this year. In July 2018, Apiary announced the close of their oversubscribed debut fund at it's £200m hard cap and the completion of their inaugural investment in The Appointment Group, which Nicki sits on the board of. Nicki heads the firm's efforts in the tech services space and led the recent investment in G3 Comms.

Nicki has a BA from Oxford and a Masters from Stanford. She is also an accomplished amateur athlete and has just finished top 10 in her age group at the 70.3 triathlon World Championships in South Africa.

Robert Gibbons

As Head of Managed Services Rob's team is responsible for helpdesk, project work and meeting service level agreements.

Having founded IT services company Think4 from scratch in February 2006, Rob built the business to become a UK Top 150 Microsoft SMB Workplace company. He also helped Think4 gain accreditations with a number of major vendors.

Over the past decade Rob has become an influential and well-respected member of the UK's IT community. In addition to his role new at Evaris he has run the community of IT Support companies SBSC North West www.sbscnorthwest.org for the past 7 years.

He is also one of just three Microsoft Influencers in the UK (there are only 27 globally). He's also a member of the Continuum EPAC - European Advisor Council. The work with all three organisations the SBSC, Influencer and EPAC communities gives Rob a unique insight into the industry and IT issues impacting broader businesses.

When not in work: Rob is married with two children and, when time allows, one of his favourite things to do is walking and landscape photography. 

Paul Green


MSP Marketing Edge

Paul Green works with more than 100 MSPs around the UK, helping them fix their problems and grow their businesses.

A former journalist and radio presenter, he built a healthcare marketing business to a seven figure turnover and 6 figure EBITDA, before selling it in 2016.

Now he runs small Mastermind groups for MSPs, and provides monthly marketing content with a service called the MSP Marketing Edge.

Paul also runs the popular MSP Marketing Facebook group.

Lawrence Jones MBE

Lawrence Jones MBE is CEO and co-founder of UKFast. With more than 30 years of doing things differently in business, Lawrence is a truly unique and driven entrepreneur.

As UKFast CEO, Lawrence empowers teams across the business to continue UKFast's phenomenal growth trajectory.

Having set up UKFast with co-founder and wife Gail in 1999, Jones has led the firm's evolution from a back bedroom startup to the major cloud infrastructure and colocation provider it is today. In 2018 Lawrence and Gail Jones sold a 31% stake in their business for £205m.

Lawrence's passion for creativity is seen throughout the extraordinary UKFast Campus in Manchester. His ideas continue to come to fruition through a number of his companies, including technology magazine BusinessCloud, cybersecurity company Secarma, recruitment firm MySort and building company UKFast Space.

He has received a number of business awards throughout his career in recognition of his unique approach to growing UKFast. In 2015, Lawrence was awarded an MBE by the Queen for services to the digital economy and he has been awarded an Honorary of Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree by Manchester Metropolitan University. 

Todd McQuilkin

Todd is CEO of Air-IT Ltd an award-winning UK MSP that was one of the early adaptors of PSA and FFA for IT & Communication services.

Todd is a senior consultant at Air-MSP a business that helps aspiring UK technology companies become true MSP's. In all their engagements Air-IT is used as a lab to authenticate their work.

James Morris

Investment Director


James is responsible for identifying ambitious business owners and management teams across the North West that would benefit from private equity investment to help achieve growth. He also works closely with the businesses in LDC's portfolio to identify and execute buy and build growth opportunities.

Since he joined LDC in 2015, he has supported babble cloud, a specialist communications technology provider, with two complementary acquisitions.

James has extensive experience of the private equity industry. He spent ten years at 3i in business development working across General Industrial and TMT sectors. His last role at 3i was Head of Research before joining Directorbank, a specialist private equity search consultancy, where he was responsible for the research function.

James is CIMA qualified and has a Degree in Economics and an MBA from The University of Liverpool.

JP Norman

As the Senior Information Risk Officer and Data Controller, JP is at the pinnacle of the technical escalation process for an impressive portfolio of clients. Perhaps most notably, JP is ultimately responsible for the monitoring of 32% of the NHS 111 Out of Hours service across 60 health care sites in England.

Additionally, he has worked closely with the ICO in relation to data protection and data classification changes and worked with NHS Digital to assist with the shape of the new Information Governance Framework. JP's experience and knowledge gained from almost two decades working in high pressure corporate and life critical IT environments has positioned him as an authority on information security, governance, operational management, acquisition and deployment, strategy and planning, plus telehealth.

Mehul Patel

Mehul is a partner and leads tech investing at August Equity, sitting on the investment committee.

He is on the Board and involved in the investment of Charterhouse Voice and Data and recently exited cyber security provider SecureData to Orange Cyber Defence.

His other investments in tech and tech related businesses include Wax Digital (SaaS e-procurement), Zenergi (Energy services in education) British Assessment Bureau (ISO Compliance and e-learning) and Planit Holdings (CAD CAM software) which was exited to Vero Software.

He is a chartered accountant by background, qualifying at PricewaterhouseCoopers and completed an Economics degree at the University of London.

His ANS career started over 10 years ago as a technical consultant and has gone on to work across the entire business over this period. Acquisition strategy and integration has been a strong focus over each of the key transactions in recent ANS history.

Paul's strength in people and culture have formed the foundation for growth since becoming COO and then subsequently CEO in 2017.

As well as producing daily news and features for the brand, Doug also manages the team of reporters and their output, and has a growing role in driving the CRN Intelligence side of the business. He has been a member of the CRN team since January 2007 and prior to that worked for pan-European IT channel magazine IT Europa.
