James Morgan, managing director, Imtech

Recognising the increasing need for network operators to reduce operating costs and introduce new revenue-generating services, James Morgan established Imtech Telecom UK in 2002 by securing £1 million of funding from parent group Imtech N.V. Under his direction, Imtech Telecom became a major technical services provider for carriers, Internet Service Providers and private operators. Since founding the company in 2002, James has steered the business with profitable growth year on year and to revenues of £30m in FY 2010.

In his secondary role as Country Manager for the UK for the Imtech ICT Group, James was the driving force behind merging Imtech Telecom and Real Solutions (a leading IBM System House, acquired by Imtech in 2008) to form Imtech ICT UK. James has been responsible for defining and developing Imtech ICT UK's long-term strategy which revolves around 6 key business solutions and services;
Application Optimisation, Virtualisation, Connectivity, Security and Compliance, Business Continuity, Cloud Enablement and Managed Services.
Today, Imtech ICT UK partners with World Class technology providers such as IBM, Juniper, Cisco, vmware, Netapp and EMC and reached a turnover of £ 50m for FY 2011.

James has over 20 years experience within the IT industry and Telecommunications market. Before joining Imtech Telecom Global, James was general manager at Landis Public Networks Ltd, which he grew from start up to an £8 million turnover business in under two years. Prior to this he held senior positions at Datrontech Group and Tech Data UK.
