Reseller awards will recognise excellence in the delivery of solutions, service and support to end user customers, taking into consideration the reseller's ability to deliver real benefits to the user organisation, and to meet customer objectives in terms of improved efficiency, ROI and investment protection, and cost reduction. Companies that demonstrate innovation in developing and bringing-to-market new concepts and solutions will also be candidates for these awards.
Specialist Reseller of the Year
This category is open to resellers with a specific focus on a specific solution, vertical market or technology area. This would include, for example, resellers with a specific focus on CRM applications, cloud computing or mobility, resellers that focus on the healthcare sector or on financial services, and resellers with a specialisation in recognised areas of technology.
NOTE: Resellers entered for this category should derive at least 80 per cent of their business from the provision of products and services in the defined area
Your entry will be marked against, and therefore must stick to the following criteria. ENTRIES NOT ADDRESSING THESE POINTS MAY BE MARKED DOWN. Please answer each point separately.
1. Explain the rationale behind your decision to become a specialist reseller and the steps you took to achieve your aims.
2. Outline your business model and what makes you qualify to be described as a true specialist reseller. You must demonstrate that the majority of your business is focused on your specialist area.
3. Describe how your business is structured around your specialisation and outline any particular certifications/accreditations that add weight to your claims.
4. Pick a particularly successful customer case study from the past year and explain to the judges why it was such a success and how your skills and specialisation helped that customer save money/streamline their business/improve their service to their own customers. A customer testimonial can be used as back up.
Entries are actively encouraged to include hard facts and figures - all of which will be kept strictly confidential and used for judging purposes only. All programmes and initiatives must have been new or further developed in 2013 to qualify. Resellers are actively encouraged to enter for more than one award if they so wish, and if the category is relevant to their business.
